Big Belated Birthday Party
We are always looking for community projects, and when Jacob Hunt and George Seguss (both aged 6) wrote to us to ask if we could help to organise “a big birthday party” for everyone who missed out on celebrating because of the Covid lockdown, we were delighted to be able to support their request.

So we’ll be hosting a Big Belated Birthday Party for all our younger residents on Sunday 12th September from 1pm to 5pm at the Church Fenton Sports Pavilion, Busk Lane. There’ll be bouncy castles, music, games and much more family entertainment so keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for more information.
The BBB Party Day
What an amazing afternoon – thank you to everybody who came along to support our Big Belated Birthday Party on Sunday. There are a lot of people to thank for helping to make the party happen, but the BBB Party all came about because of a brilliant idea from both Jacob Hunt and George Seguss (both aged 6) so thanks go first to Jacob and George.
Then special thanks also go to:-
Church Fenton Sports Pavilion who provided all the facilities for us, Garry, Jill and Dan – thank you. The White Horse who donated our two fantastic big birthday cakes – they were amazing. Church Fenton Scouts and their leaders who did a brilliant job helping with all the games. A big thank you to both Brian and Jean Hunt, who helped us by distributing all the party bags to the younger children. To Karla for painting faces with glitter, thank you – what a talent! All those volunteers who helped to man the bouncy castles to ensure safety first at all times – thank you (you know who you are!!) Friends of Kirk Fenton – for the loan of some of your equipment, and particularly Michelle for your guidance. Thanks also to Pat and her team, especially to their two donkeys Gary and Eeyore, and to everybody who had a ride. All donations from the donkey rides (£155) go to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Thank you to Professor Dan for his fabulous magic show and keeping the children entertained. Thank you to Deano’s Pizzas, and also to Marra’s Ices (and for your donation to the Sports Pavilion). Thanks to Paul and Chris for the set up and use of your marquee, and to everyone else who assisted us to set up and clear away at the end. To Jean Lawson who helped us out with some of the shopping. To Church Fenton Community Shop who gifted the Haribo for the party bags. Thank you to Nestle who donated all the fabulous chocolate treats. To Dianne Hatton, who also brought along another gorgeous cake – it was yummy.
Then finally, a massive thank you goes out to all of our shareholders for your kind comments and for the continued support you give to Church Fenton Community Hub – we could not have done this without your encouragement and amazing support.
